~ Sun, Aug 30th 11AM-6PM EST- Dean Friedman’s Virtual Songfest Zoomfest https://virtual-songfest-zoomfest-tickets.eventbrite.com/?aff=VanceGilbert --- Remember Dean’s 1977 hit “Ariel”? You should hear his other material omg. And this day include some singing English sock puppets that make me pee laughing. Other great performers too.

~ Sun, Sept 6th, Truro MA (Da Cape!!) LIVE 2 shows, 4 & 6:30 Payomet Performing Arts Center Drive-In http://www.payomet.org --- (It’s not even on their site yet!!) Two shows because they’re maintaining social distance protocol stuff. Outdoors and in your car too so it’s pretty safe.

Good Good Man - the CD - streaming all platforms, even get it from me…

Lawn Show: needs to be in my geographic area, State social distancing protocols vehemently adhered to, reasonable rates.

Coaching of songwriting, performance & voice, (SURE - BY SKYPE, FACETIME, OR ZOOM)

I’m just about done writing a song for a compilation album for an organization that secures housing for the homeless.
More details on that as it comes together. In the meantime, I thought I’d type out the lyrics for the first time in this email blast to you, VanceFan.

THE HOUSE OF SECOND CHANCES

Sure
You can put your things in that drawer
We can save the cardboard boxes
That you drew the flowers on
But there’s no need to keep
Your clothes in them
Anymore

(chorus)
This is the house
Of second chances

Yeah
That’s your very own bed
No more Toyota backseat armrest
As a pillow for your head
You can’t sleep without the motor running
I understand, and soon
You will too

(chorus)

(bridge)
Don’t be afraid of the shouting
Right next door
They’re playing cards and country music
And laughing right out loud
Those are happy men’s voices
About a pair of aces
They could be talking about
You and me

I’ll
Be right here as to try to sleep
And if you can’t we’ll watch the stars
From the warm inside this room
And make a wish on the very first one
That twinkle winks at you

(chorus)
