THE NEW CD

I’ll have 1000 “Good, Good, Man” CDs in my basement in, hopefully, 48 hours. You can have one. Just let me know.
• Buy it from me at a show
• Buy it from me directly - via PayPal to vancefunder@gmail.com
• Buy it from me directly via check for anything between $10 - $20 to Vancefunder P.O. Box 17 Arlington, MA 02476
• **If your name is on the CD, or if you’re a friend, family member, promoter, cash strapped, or anyone else that thinks they should just have one, send me your address again and I’ll just send one to you. Seriously, just ask for one and I’ll send it.**

Album release will be in January. I’m about to have a big-time publicist work to get it seen after the Holiday Thanksgiving/Christmas media mash. At which time I’ll stream it, have it on digital platforms, etc. You folks on this spurious list will get notice first when those things happen.

I’m shooting for various moons on this one. Going for a late-career “Gosh, we should have known about him - glad we do NOW” kinda thing with this release. OK, you might not say “gosh” but some folks do. Take this ride with me, will you?

SOME MONDAY THINGS

Car rental...
Do you know how hard it is to "bring it back empty"?

Restaurant...
You do not get to have your ad look like this:

Business: OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK
Hours: WED-MON 12:00pm - 9:00 pm, closed Tuesday

Last Minute House Concert...
Hilary, your house, friends, husband, treatment of me, all were from another planet in perfection. I never imagined I’d play a concert for the designers and programmers of the video game Fortnight. What an interesting bunch. Man, is that game so very popular! Or so I have read. What an old man I am.

And no, the two turkey/swiss roll-ups did not make it back to the hotel. I will say I am worried for you about your next door neighbor’s pond. Mosquito breeding ground. Couple of quarts of canola oil stealthily poured in it at night might do the trick. OK, I’m just kidding. Again thanks.

Thanks For the Airplane Stuff...
To the guy that brought his old radio control box with the levers and switches and servos and batteries in it and such as a souvenir gift from your model airplane flying youth - thanks! I hope I didn’t seem ungrateful in saying I wouldn’t be taking that on the airplane home. I hope you understand.

Affirming Jog-By...
Thanks Lisa. I remember your name now because after seeing me maybe 2 -3 times you remembered mine and both of my dog’s names. When you asked “Where’s Roscoe?" as I jogged by with Bessie, and I fell apart, both you and your partner, covered from head to toe with dirt as you were landscaping, group squooze me telling me you were sorry and all would be alright. You even asked first if you could hug me. Thanks.

And so, in my hurt, I saw an opportunity to go anger fishing for my own validation. I asked why you were working so hard landscaping when you lived right next door to one of the more prominent landscapers in town. The same guy that threatened me as I went by with my dogs because my partner had called the police on his unapologetic and unresponsive crew for breaking a handful of town landscaping ordinances while working next door. You shrugged and admitted that while he was cordial, he was not the nicest guy, confrontational, and when his kid wore a Confederate flag while hanging in the yard and you asked what was up with it didn’t go well. Man I felt, not really better, but more in kinship.

Then you capped that with, “But to be fair, maybe it wasn’t a good time for me to even start that conversation - he had lost his dog of 13 years earlier that day.”

And so I went from sad to spiteful to stupid to the corner of Forgiveness and Learning in like 5 minutes. Thanks to a topsoil and compost hug from 2 gay ladies in their driveway. Hell, I’m 60-plus years old, and I’ve been at this thing for a long time - why are some jogs still so hard?
