A stalwart Vance supporter, artist, singer, mom, and partner to John. Mom of Maria and Ian (pre-pro baller now into finance and education).

~ JOHN HAMMOND RIP - I recall a bunch of us, in the wings of the Zeiterion at the New Bedford Folk Festival watching him weave absolute blues magic. Me, a bunch of other Black, White, Gay, Latino folks all slack-jawed at this genius. And he had the nerve to be the nicest guy.

~ ROY BOOKBINDER RIP - I did a song swap with this genius at the same festival many years ago. Another kind, consummate one.

~ KEVIN BARRY, QUITE EXTANT I took a guitar lesson with this genius (pictured) last week. Yes I did. I’m almost 70, a pretty decent guitarist myself, but hell yes I’m still striving to be the quadruple threat Afro Jason Isbell yes I am. Or will be. Or something. All I know right now is C-Dorian mode is my new friend.
