I HAVE CANCER

Whoa. That was weird to type.

It’s curable, on a tonsil, there’ll be chemo and radiation that’ll pretty much wreck singing for the summer, maybe even into the fall/winter. Maybe forever.

No doc has to cut anything.

Sorry if you have tix to stuff I’m part of. There’s gonna be a mess of rescheduling. Throughout June, my voice should get raggedy enough that it’ll be time to pull up for a bit come Late June/July.

If a June show is not rescheduled it means I’m gonna try.

If you’re looking for something philosophical from me for this, it is this: i’m here to live, eat wings, sing, build model planes.

I’m not gonna give a list of things I wish I’d done or birds sounding different or trees looking greener. I’m a pretty thankful man, not regretful, and if that seems arrogant and not God-appreciative enough then you don’t get me.

I’ll sing again after though it won’t be for a while.

There will be a Go Fund Me for me and my lost wages.

Might seem fatalistic, but I’m recording a solo album in the next week before chemo starts just so that I can use what voice I have now – it’ll be raggedy but truthful and then I could spend time mixing while I’m “sick“.
