So when I fearlessly rolled my window down and said “I may be dead in a few months and you gonna blow the horn at me at a hospital light?” He tried to defend with how long I was at each light. “You at the hospital mother*****! People trying to live and die here. You need to git the f** off the horn!!” I suppose he figured this old Black man don’t care about repercussion. He drove off. I have a Swiss Army Knife btw. ~ MUSIC THERAPIST IN THE HOSPITAL HALLWAY - she was working out Nora Jones’s “I Don’t Know Why”. Her voice like absolute honey. We chatted. She handed me her guitar. I did a low-voiced Barry White Unfamiliar Moon. I fumbled though the chords of I Don’t Know Why (she was missing a chord in bridge) and she sang along. By this time the crowd had doubled in the hall, one of the folks being her boss. Bravo Nea (?). May there be many years of you doing well what you do. If you have to ever drive to make ends meet, I know the sounds you’ll choose.
