UNFAMILIAR MOON, REALLY

I’m on the road so this is a short one. Lemme see if I get this right.

One Monday night, a few weeks ago, my partner Deb was outside as a neighbor woman went past with 2 small twin boys. It was 7:30ish, the windows and shades were open to the last vestiges of autumnal light, and I had started Vance’sMondayNightPajamaParty. The woman and Deborah said hello, and as they chatted, one of the boys asked “What’s that man in the window doing?”

“He’s singing to people who are online watching and listening to him”, she replied. “If you listen, you can hear a little right thru this window”.

“Mamma, can we listen to him too when we get home?”

Several days later Deb sees the woman the street, who told this story: “Well when we got home we listened to a bit of the show. Then we went to Spotify. This past week those boys would not go to sleep without hearing Unfamiliar Moon at least twice…”
