in the VA, the PA and the MA!

Hi Everybody,

I have a real to life road trip coming up this week!

Friday 1/21 - I start in Ashland, Virginia at Ashland Coffee and Tea. This is a great little place and it'll be my second time playing there. They have unbelievable food, and their dedication to presenting acoustic music has become legendary

Saturday 1/22 -  I drive to Jenkintown, PA, just outside of Philly for a show at the Last Chance Cafe on Saturday afternoon. This house concert is how house concerts should be done. Period. Nice early show for a Saturday, heck that gives you time to do something else that night even! This show always sells out, so you should get reservations early.

Sunday  1/23 - The Iron Horse Music Hall, Northampton, MA. Yeah, the place where I was "discovered" 20 years ago by its then owner Jordi Herold. I ended up opening for Shawn Colvin there, then I was on the road with her for a month or two. And look at me now! I've gone from being an absolute unknown all the way up the ranks to relatively obscure...seriously though, this place marked a turning point in my musical life. Come celebrate 20  years of me playing here.

ADDED DETAIL - SATURDAY FEB 5TH - CLUB PASSIM WITH KEVIN BARRY ON GUITAR -

What a ball this night will be. I hired Kevin Barry (guitarist for Paula Cole, Ray LaMontagne) to play with me this night, and I mean *play*. Kevin and I have a great time anytime we work together, and this night we'll have the *Kevo-meter Wheel* ready for usage. It works like this - I decide what tune of mine I'll play, Kevin will spin the wheel which will eventually land on one instrument or another, and that's what Kevin will play on that tune. Sounds simple enough? Well, some of the instruments on the Kevo-meter Wheel may be, shall we say, not Kevin's usual cup of tea. Alongside his incredible guitar, slide guitar, and lap steel might sit a penny whistle, kid's xylophone, lyric sheet for singing, hand drum, a request to whistle, harmonica, etc…in tIn any case get tickets early for this one, as Passim tends to be another one of those sell-out shows.
