January Vancegigs...feauturing one in jammies!

Hi VanceFans!!

A few worthy notes of note:

~ I am into the third pressing of BaD Dog Buffet - they should arrive next week. I need to find room in the basement...still wanna thank all who gave to that cause back in 2013!

~ Thanks to Johanna & Donna for your respective SNHPs (Short Notice Holiday Parties - write vance@vancegilbert.com if you wanna do one). Both were tremendous, food was great, I got new fans, and everybody wins!!

~ I did about 4 hours with Sean Staples (Resophonics, Session Americana, mandolin/guitar session player) who is behind the recording console for the Vance Sings Jazz Standards Album. We got really nice versions of Moonlight In Vermont and Again. This is hard. My biggest work is getting out of the way of the tune and to just stop trying to "do stuff". What a great experience, finally getting these tunes down after their having been in my DNA for nearly 35 years now. And all I need to pay for is nearly paid for thanks to the WLF (World's Laziest Fundraiser - rubberscaleairlinerboy@gmail.com for PayPal, vance@vancegilbert.com for other payment info if you wanna contribute). Thanks to those who have given as recent. Simple $$, any amount = your name on the album, alphabetical.
