Marblehead, Rhode Island, Madison, and Chicago!!

Hi Everyone!

We are officially re-inaugurated, we have had a semi-3 day weekend (don't get me started...on MLK's birthday we can get liquor at the store but libraries are closed...that's just kinda messed up...) and the New Year is now in full swing.

I have played the most fantastic benefit concerts. Money has gotten donated. I've made a little scratch. A wonderful couple ballooned my car one evening after a show (thanks guys). A "can our delivery driver play a tune with you on his sax?" trepidation-filled query from the folks at Food For Free, in Cambridge, turned into an absolutely sparkling full evening of sax/guitar duo stuff with the immeasurably talented Dan Friedman.

All the giving at these benefits, and the general "we can do this" attitude of so many I have come across has bolstered me big-time. Life is very promising.

I have a new, utterly tremendous tune called "Evelene". I am unashamed in my love of this song. It is in the story song tradition of Cold Missouri Waters, Beeswing, and The King Of Rome. I'm playing it out everywhere, although I haven't memorized it yet. Sorry about the lyric sheets.

I have about 3/4 of an album written. Maybe I'll ask for help from fans for production costs like some folks do. Maybe I'll just run up a credit card...I haven't decided.

And spring is on the way. I feel very fortunate to be amongst those that are living the winter like it's the best this to happen since the fall. Lemme at 'em!!

Till then, here's whats big: I get to play 2 of the original, earliest coffeehouses that would hire me back in the early 90's. I am so elated to return to these bookended New England definitions-of-the-genre coffeehouses:

1/25 - Friday, Marblehead, MA, The Me & Thee Coffeehouse

This stalwart place has been a coffeehouse home to me for heading into 3 decades. You might consider getting tickets early...That says it all. Patti DeRosa opens
