Hingham, MA, Life Is Good Festival, Fan-Based Album Fundraising
Hi Everyone,
I've been flat out in the studio getting the new album together, tentatively called Sweet Potato Dove. That's not etched in stone. Maybe as part of my fan-based cash-raising campaign I'll have a fan, for a donation, name the album.
The fundraising campaign will have its own mailer, coming in the next week or so. I'm hoping to raise $25,000 to get this album up and running. Thanks in advance for your support.
In the meantime, I have a few gigs this month to keep the wolf away from the door:
Saturday, Sept 14
Coffeehouse Off the Square
Old Ship Parish Hall
107 Main Street
Hingham, MA
781-749-1767
http://www.bostoncoffeehouses.org/OldShip/OldShip.html
This is a sweet, defining New England coffeehouse. They treat me like a king here. These folks were nice to my dogs, too. Last time I played it was torrential rain, still it was nearly sold out, so you'd better get there early-ish.
Saturday, Sept 21st
Life is Good Festival / Coffee House Stage
5 Blue Hill Road
Canton, MA
617-266-4160
http://www.lifeisgood.com/festival/music/
I'll let them say what this is about:
"The Life Is Good Festival is a one-of-a-kind fundraiser held at Prowse Farm in Canton, MA. This two-day celebration of music and optimism features three stages of nationally known musical talent, hands-on games, interactive arts activities, and the "Good Kids" zone " home to the top acts in kids entertainment. Donations made at or in connection with the Festival and as well as any net profits generated from the Festival go directly to The Life Is Good Kids Foundation."
Doesn't it sound great? And what a line up!!: Amos Lee, Jack Johnson, Me, Hall & Oates, Ryan Montbleau, Me, The Roots, Me...and more...
I play the Coffeehouse Stage Saturday around 2:30 pm
Hey, if you're getting this mailer and you're out in Boise or Chicago or something, tell someone you know that lives near here to come see me, will you please? Thanks for your support, and I'll see you somewhere this month,
Thanks, and Peace,
Vance
