Vance's End Of November Gravy Boat Blast

Hi VanceFans,

I know, you're busy. I won't keep you too long...

We're deciding between mashed potatoes and colcannon (mashed potatoes with cabbage, an Irish thing that seems to have taken hold of the fancy of She Who Shares the Kitchen...) And I'm sorry, Tofurky is just weird. Tofurky is just not turkey, but gout is gout. Ask me how I know?

BTW, I met 2 of the Temptations when I opened for them last week at Tarrytown Music Hall. They asked that I not leave before being introduced to me. Someone mentioned that they might even be looking for new material. That's how awesome *that* show was. Can you imagine the Temps singing "Unfamiliar Moon"?

That said, here's a few salient things:

1) The VanceFunder album funding campaign
...is a little over a month old, and I'm over 1/3rd the way to my goal. How awesome is that?

Thank you.

If you have ideas as to how to spread the word outside of my circle of fans, I'm all ears. In the meantime, we'll keep at it. I mix this next two weeks, artwork and such becomes more etched in stone a few weeks after that - so if you want to have your name listed, you'll need to contribute before that gets put to bed (soon).

Wanna go old school and send checks (about 20 - 30% of funders have!)? Write me thru the website and I'll shoot you my office address.

2) Last Minute Holiday Parties
Email me. vance@vancegilbert.com. Yeah, I decided last minute that I'd do some, if you wanna. I have a mess of December off right now. I'll come cheap. You'd be surprised how easily I can be had...(oooh, that sounds kinda wrong...) Hey, I have an album to put out.

3) I play the following places coming up:

Saturday, 12/7......Pomfret CT
Vanilla Bean Cafe

450 W Rd
Pomfret, CT 06258
203-928-1562
8:00pm

I love this place. The food is great, and it so wonderfully serves an area of Connecticut that was just crying out to have a place to go to hear good acoustic music. This'll be my second time here in this quite intimate space, and it'll probably fill up.

Sunday, 12/15.....Richmond VT
Richmond Library/Brick Church Music Series

201 Bridge Street
Richmond, VT
802-434-4563
4pm

Well, this looks like a sweet series!! Darol Anger and Joe Walsh just played, they're both really good, they're on my upcoming album, and now I get to play, so that must mean...they're really good and this is a great place to play.

Please go to vancegilbert.com for more details on everything.

Please tell others to see me if you live nowhere near the shows on this mailer. Free CDs are involved if people come referred, and they make great Christmas stocking stuffers (Hanukkah Hosiery Holders?)

Thanks, and Happy, Safe, and Peaceful Holidays, All
-vance
